What is the process?
First, you will be expected to attend worship or Sunday School weekly on either Saturday night or Sunday morning. Plus, you are expected to participate in several of our youth activities (youth fellowship, mission projects, or bible study) from October-May (this does not mean attendance at every event is mandatory, but you should participate in some things).
Second, you can choose a mentor or one can be assigned to you. This adult member of the church is someone who will meet with you 13 times to complete and discuss your Making Disciples workbook and be with you as a friend and companion on this journey. Your mentor will pray for you regularly and help with any questions you might have about the Bible and church.
Third, you will be expected to read through the New Testament by May 1st. You will have a monthly class based on the New Testament and how it relates to Methodism, the church, and your life. The class will be taught by Rev. Tiedemann and will offer you an opportunity to ask questions and affirm your beliefs in Jesus Christ. (If reading isn't your thing, you may listen to the NIV or TNIV audio of the New Testament.)
